@0x4d6165 this one has the injectable NExT v1 in its left hand between the thumb and index fingers and has had it for almost two years (disclaimer: it is not a programmer nor a computer scientist, but an aspiring biologist. all of its puter knowledge is hobby but it has a deep understanding of the physiological processes around these implantations)realistically? most of the time it doesn't even remember it is there, but it uses it almost every day as an easily accessible to-do list and method by which it can give other entities irl contact information, among also being a conversation piece.
the actual hardware it gets the most use out of is the mifare ultralight chip in it; it is parsed as records and can be easily read by humans on most phones with NFC functionality.
the implant was done by the keilar and it was nigh painless. the most it felt was a pinch and that quickly became nothing from the concentration it had doing doing the jabby. a stressful procedure, sure, but it took three minutes at best and is worth far more in experience and utility than the like. $100? it paid for it.
