now im wondering how the cellular biology of a slime girl works. does she have cells? or is she just one big cell. or is she something that can't be described as a cell, kind of like a bacterial spore but really gloopy and slimey
to me i think she'd have to excrete waste products as species that have very high vapor pressures, kinda similar to humans and evaporative cooling via sweat, but column chromatography would reveal that it isn't an electrolyte solution but instead some really tacky substance (when one touches her she's a lil sticky everywhere) needs more thought put into it. if only i wasn't running on fumes
@wire_witch my specbio faculties view slime girls as cytoplasmic beings with highly evolved proteins so i think that any type of smoke touching the outer layer of her would elicit a massive body-wide signalling casvade
